Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 31, 2026

Overview

HouseSynq provides SynqBoard household dashboards that allow users to view shared calendars, announcements, chore tracking, and other family or household information in one place. This Privacy Policy explains what information HouseSynq collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information HouseSynq receives

HouseSynq may receive information that users choose to place into their SynqBoard, including household names, user names, announcements, chore data, and calendar events.

If a user connects a Google Calendar account, HouseSynq requests access only to basic account identity information needed for sign-in and calendar connection, plus read-only access to Google Calendar data needed to display calendar events on that user’s SynqBoard.

If a user adds a public iCal or ICS feed, HouseSynq retrieves event data made available through that public link for display on the SynqBoard.

How information is used

  • To create and operate a user’s SynqBoard.
  • To display shared calendar events, announcements, and chore information selected by the user.
  • To maintain connected calendar integrations and refresh displayed event data.
  • To support basic administrative access and security for household boards.

HouseSynq does not sell user data and does not use connected Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the SynqBoard service requested by the user.

Google user data

HouseSynq accesses Google user data only after a user grants permission. Google Calendar data is used solely to display selected calendar events on the user’s SynqBoard. Google user data is not sold, shared for advertising, or used for unrelated analytics or profiling.

HouseSynq stores only the information reasonably necessary to keep a connected calendar working and to display the board requested by the user.

Visibility of SynqBoards

SynqBoards are designed for convenient household display, including on shared screens or wall-mounted devices. As a result, board content may be visible to other people who can view the screen or access the board URL. Users are responsible for deciding what information they place on a board and whether that board is displayed in a shared or publicly visible location.

Data sharing

HouseSynq does not sell personal information. HouseSynq may rely on service providers such as hosting, database, authentication, and infrastructure providers solely to operate the service. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the security, integrity, or rights of HouseSynq, its users, or others.

Data retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the user’s SynqBoard and connected features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security

HouseSynq uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children

HouseSynq is intended to be configured by adults for household use. Adults who create and manage a SynqBoard are responsible for the content included on the board and for any information they choose to include about children in their household.

Changes to this policy

HouseSynq may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
